BIO

Julie Simons-Maguire, Owner

In 2006, Julie launched JDS Design with a clear mission: deliver a unique approach that brings outdoor spaces to life!

Through her early experiences working for others in residential landscape design/build, Julie recognized a distinctive gap in the business environment – while many clients could often express the use and lifestyle needs they craved in their outdoor space, they were often disappointed with the execution and final results.

Julie saw that every person had a story to share about their hopes for a project. She has built a reputation for closely considering those unique stories while assessing each particular property and budget. This approach creates a great foundation for her to apply the passion and creativity that sets her projects apart.

A native of Dallas, Julie received her BS in Landscape Architecture from Texas A&M in 1989. In 2013, she was chosen as one of Dallas’ top female entrepreneurs by the Crave Company.

Julie resides in North Dallas and is the mother of 3 sons.
